RICK BRAUN
October 30, 2026 8:00 pm
Rick Braun at Yoshi’s Oakland
Friday, October 30, Yoshi’s brings Rick Braun to the Jack London waterfront for an 8 pm set built around trumpet, flugelhorn, and the smooth swing he is known for.
Yoshi’s is one of those rooms where the sound matters. The lights stay low, the tables are close, and the music feels right in front of you. Add dinner before the show if you want to make a full night of it, or just settle in with a drink and let the band do the talking.
Braun has a warm, clear tone that works well in this kind of space. His playing sits between jazz, soul, and polished groove music, with enough bite to keep things moving. If you like horn led melodies and a band that can keep a room locked in without making a big fuss about it, this is a good pick.
The show runs from 8 pm to 10 pm at Yoshi’s, 510 Embarcadero West in Oakland.
