Adult Needlework Circle

Adult Needlework Circle meets Thursday, July 9, from 1 to 3 pm at Oakland Public Library: Rockridge Branch, right on College Ave in Oakland.
This is a low key afternoon for anyone who likes to keep their hands busy. Bring knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, mending, or whatever fiber project is sitting in your bag waiting for attention.
The Rockridge Branch has that calm neighborhood library feel, with a steady flow of locals, quiet corners, and enough room to settle in for a couple of hours. Hot tea is provided, which is a nice touch if you plan to stay and stitch for a while.
There are no booked performers here. The regulars, newcomers, and their works in progress are the main attraction. Some people come with years of practice. Others are just figuring out the basics. Either way, the pace is friendly and easy.
If you want company while you work on a project, or you have been meaning to get back to one, this is a good reason to step into the library on a Thursday afternoon.
Join us every Thursday afternoon for creativity and conversation in a warm and inviting space.
You are invited to bring your own projects (knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting and more!) and enjoy the good company of other fiber art creatives. This group has been meeting now for nearly two years and whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, everyone is welcome! Hot tea is provided.
