Library Commission- Community Engagement Committee Meeting

Library business in the heart of Oakland
On Monday, July 20, the Oakland Public Library hosts a Community Engagement Committee meeting from 11 am to noon at the Main Library, 125 14th St.
This is a good one for anyone who cares about how the library connects with Oakland neighborhoods. The agenda includes draft minutes, a quarterly maintenance report, commissioner assignments, and an action plan from May 2026.
The Main Library has that familiar downtown feel. Big civic building, steady foot traffic, people reading, studying, checking out books, and moving through their day. It is a fitting place for a public meeting about community access and library service.
There are no stage performers here. The people to watch are the commissioners, library staff, and neighbors who show up to speak. If you have thoughts to share, public comment happens in person during the open forum at the start of the meeting.
You can also watch or listen on Zoom, but remote viewing is for observation only. To comment, you will need to be there in the room.
