Botanical Drawing at Local Economy
Tuesday, June 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Local Economy in Oakland is hosting a quiet drawing session with artist Hannah Hirsekorn.
Hannah works in ink on paper and skin, and runs Oology Tattoo. Her work centers on flora and fauna, so expect plants, natural forms, and small details worth sitting with for a while. She will bring items to draw and offer gentle guidance as people settle in.
The feel is calm and hands on. Bring your own supplies, grab a seat, and spend a couple hours looking closely at the natural world. Local Economy has a neighborhood room feel, which fits this kind of gathering well. Simple, focused, and easy to join.
This is a good pick if you want a slower evening out, a reason to draw with other people, or a fresh way to look at leaves, stems, shells, and shapes you might usually pass by.
