**BAYOU 2 THE BAY** at Faction Brewing looks like a good excuse to head to Alameda on Saturday afternoon. Faction is already one of those East Bay spots people love for the setting alone. It sits right on the old naval air station with wide-open Bay views, plenty of outdoor space, and that breezy, industrial-beer-garden feel that somehow works equally well for day drinking, casual meetups, and lingering over food while watching the water. On a clear day, the San Francisco skyline does a lot of the heavy lifting. This one leans hard into a Cajun seafood boil vibe, with a big “Nawlins” boil bucket built for sharing: Dungeness crab, shrimp, beef sausage, potatoes, and corn. There are extra add-ons if you want to build it out, plus a few live-fire options that sound like they could easily become the main event for some groups—charbroiled oysters, fried catfish, even steaks if you’re going bigger than the standard boil setup.
