Yoshi’s is a good room for saxophone. The tables sit close to the stage, the sound is clean, and the Jack London Square setting makes it easy to turn the night into dinner and a show without much planning.
Richard Elliot brings a big, soulful tone that fits this room well. He is a Grammy nominated saxophonist with chart topping jazz records, and longtime fans also know his work with Tower of Power. Expect smooth grooves, R and B flavor, and enough bite in the playing to keep the set moving.
