Fireside Potluck! at REAP Climate Center
Alameda has a sweet midweek gathering tucked over on Tynan Ave. On Wednesday, November 18, REAP Climate Center is opening its campus from 5 to 8:30 pm for an evening built around shared food, conversation, and time by the fire.
The feel is casual and neighborly. People show up after work, help cook if they want, bring a dish if they can, then settle in for a communal meal. Some food is provided, but this is a potluck at heart, so a salad, soup, snack, dessert, or drink is welcome.
REAP’s Alameda campus has its own calm charm. It is the kind of place where a simple meal can turn into a good talk about gardens, climate, local projects, or whatever someone at the table happens to be thinking about.
The evening also has rotating programming. Some weeks that may mean live music, a movie, a workshop, or a group discussion. The lineup can shift, which keeps it feeling more like a community night than a fixed show.
Go if you want an easy way to meet people, spend time in a thoughtful local space, or take a break from the usual dinner routine. Kids are welcome with an adult.

Wednesday Schedule
Come anytime after 5:00pm! We generally cook until 6ish, and we welcome helping hands, or just friendly company! We’ll then enjoy a communal meal and fireside gathering, usually wrapping up around 8:30.
