Fireside Potluck!

A warm Wednesday night at REAP Climate Center

If your midweek could use a shared meal and some fresh Alameda air, REAP Climate Center has a low key gathering on Wednesday, November 11, from 5 to 8:30 pm.

The setting is part of the draw. REAP’s campus on Tynan Ave has that tucked away Alameda feel, with space to cook, talk, wander a bit, and settle in by the fire. It feels like the kind of place where people show up with a salad, a pot of soup, or just a question they have been carrying around about climate, food, gardens, or community.

The evening usually starts with cooking around 5 pm. Helping hands are welcome, but you can also just keep company while food comes together. Around 6 pm, everyone shares a meal, then the night moves into a fireside gathering.

The program changes from week to week. Some nights may have live music, a film, a workshop, or a discussion led by someone in the community. REAP is also open to ideas, so the people around the fire help shape what happens next.

Bring a dish or drink if you can. Some food will be there, and all ages are welcome, with kids accompanied by an adult.

Wednesday Schedule

Come anytime after 5:00pm! We generally cook until 6ish, and we welcome helping hands, or just friendly company! We’ll then enjoy a communal meal and fireside gathering, usually wrapping up around 8:30.
