Fireside Potluck!

Wednesday evening at REAP Climate Center in Alameda

If you have been meaning to spend more time in community spaces around the East Bay, REAP Climate Center has a warm midweek gathering worth putting on the calendar. On Wednesday, November 4, from 5 to 8:30 pm, the Alameda campus opens up for a shared meal, conversation, and whatever the rotating evening program brings.

The flow is easy. From 5 to 6 pm, folks can join the community cook. From 6 to 7 pm, everyone settles in for the potluck and hang. After that, the night shifts into programming, which may be live music, a film, a workshop, or a group discussion.

REAP’s campus at 2133 Tynan Ave has that tucked away Alameda feel, with room to wander, talk, and slow down a bit. It is the kind of place where bringing a dish can turn into meeting a neighbor, hearing a new idea, or finding out about a local project you did not know was happening.

Some food will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring a dish or drink to share if they can. Kids are welcome with an adult, so this can be a family friendly evening too.

If you are curious about climate work, regenerative practices, local food, or just want a low key evening with good people, this is a nice way to plug in without feeling like you need to be an expert.
