Fireside Potluck!

A warm Wednesday night at REAP Climate Center in Alameda

If your week could use a shared meal and some real conversation, REAP Climate Center has a simple setup: cook together, eat together, then stick around for music, a movie, a workshop, or a group discussion.

The gathering runs Wednesday, October 28, from 5 to 8:30 pm at REAP Climate Center, 2133 Tynan Ave in Alameda. The campus has a tucked away feel, with outdoor space, places to gather, and a calm, neighborly energy that fits the evening well.

The schedule starts with community cooking from 5 to 6 pm. Dinner and hanging out happen from 6 to 7 pm. After that, the program changes week to week. Some nights bring live music from guest performers, while others focus on a film, hands on learning, or a conversation topic from the community.

Bring a dish or drink to share if you can. Some food will be there, so you can still come even if the fridge at home is not helping. Kids are welcome with an adult.

This is a good one for anyone curious about climate work, regenerative practices, or just meeting Alameda and East Bay neighbors in a relaxed setting. It sounds less like a formal event and more like the kind of evening where you arrive with a plate and leave knowing a few more people.
