Fireside Potluck!

A warm Wednesday night at REAP Climate Center

Alameda has plenty of places to meet up, but REAP Climate Center has its own feel. The campus at 2133 Tynan Ave is calm, a little tucked away, and built for people who like gardens, shared meals, and good conversation.

On Wednesday, October 7, from 5 to 8:30 pm, REAP is hosting its weekly community potluck around the fire. The evening starts with community cooking, then moves into dinner and hanging out. After that, the night shifts into rotating programming, which might be live music, a movie, a workshop, or a group discussion.

The performers and hosts can change from week to week, which is part of the charm. One visit might bring a local musician. Another might bring a hands on workshop or a film that gets people talking. The common thread is simple: food, neighbors, climate aware community, and time spent off the scroll.

Some food will be there, but guests are encouraged to bring a dish or drink to share if they can. All ages are welcome, with kids accompanied by an adult.

If you are looking for a low key East Bay evening with a real community feel, this is a good one to put on the calendar. Bring something tasty, bring a curious mood, and give yourself a little time to walk the campus.
