Fireside Potluck!

A warm Wednesday night in Alameda

REAP Climate Center is opening up its Tynan Avenue campus for a community potluck on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8:30 pm. The idea is simple: cook together, eat together, and stick around for whatever the night brings.

The setting is a big part of the draw. REAP has that tucked away Alameda feel, with outdoor space, garden energy, and a calm pace that makes it easy to talk with people you have never met. It feels less like an event hall and more like a neighborhood gathering spot.

The evening starts with a community cook from 5 to 6 pm, followed by food and hanging out from 6 to 7 pm. After that, the program changes week to week. You might catch live music, a movie, a workshop, or a group discussion. Local bands, workshop leaders, and neighbors with ideas are part of what keeps the night fresh.

Bring a dish or drink if you can, but some food will be provided. Kids are welcome with an adult, and curious people of all ages should fit right in. If you have been meaning to meet more climate minded folks in the East Bay, this is an easy place to start.
