The listeners happen to be dogs. Finn, Gladys, and Christina take turns visiting the branch, giving young readers a relaxed way to practice reading out loud. No pressure. No classroom spotlight. Just a book, a dog, and a few quiet minutes to build confidence.

Children should check in at the Children’s Reference Desk when they arrive to sign up for a turn. It is a simple drop in setup, which makes it easy for families already walking around College Avenue or looking for a low key afternoon activity.
