Mindset Workshop: Living With Brain Injury
August 4, 2026 4:00 pm
A calm hour in Rockridge for brain injury recovery
On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the Rockridge Branch of the Oakland Public Library is hosting a one hour workshop for adults living with TBI, ABI, concussion, or post concussion symptoms. Caregivers are welcome too.
The branch on College Avenue has that familiar Rockridge feel: quiet stacks, neighborhood foot traffic, and a setting that makes it easier to sit down, breathe, and be part of a small group without a lot of noise around you.
The session is led by Liz Miller, who has lived through brain injury herself and later trained in LoveYourBrain practices. Expect mindfulness, meditation, gentle movement, and time to connect with others who understand the slow work of recovery.
This is part of a six week series, and it sounds useful for anyone looking for steady support rather than a crowded lecture. Space is limited, and registration is required.
The workshop runs from 4 to 5 pm at 5366 College Ave in Oakland. You can get details, register, and check accessibility information through the event listing.
This 6-week series is designed for adults navigating life after a brain injury (TBI orABI), concussion, post-concussion syndromeâand caregivers, too.
The weekly workshops will include mindfulness, meditation and movement practices as well as building community.Mindset Facilitator: Liz Miller experienced brain injury and in her journey toward recovery became trained in LoveYourBrain practices.Space is limited, registration is required.
