Mindset Workshop: Living With Brain Injury
July 28, 2026 4:00 pm
A quiet Rockridge workshop for life after brain injury
On Tuesday, July 28, the Rockridge Branch of the Oakland Public Library is hosting a one hour mindset workshop for adults living with brain injury, concussion, TBI, ABI, or post concussion syndrome. Caregivers are welcome too.
The Rockridge library has that calm College Avenue feel, with a neighborhood pace that makes it easier to settle in. This is the kind of setting where a small group can breathe, talk, and try a few practices without the pressure of a big event room.
The workshop is led by Liz Miller, who has lived through brain injury herself and later trained in LoveYourBrain practices. The hour includes mindfulness, meditation, gentle movement, and time for building community with people who may understand parts of the recovery road that can be hard to explain.
If you or someone close to you is moving through life after brain injury, this could be a useful place to spend an afternoon. Simple tools, shared space, and a facilitator with lived experience can go a long way.
