Chair Yoga
September 21, 2026 10:30 am
Monday morning movement at the Rockridge Branch
If your body could use a calmer start to the week, Chair Yoga is happening Monday, September 21, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Oakland Public Library Rockridge Branch.
The Rockridge Branch has that easy College Ave feel. Quiet, welcoming, and close to coffee, errands, and a slow walk through the neighborhood after class. It is a good setting for this kind of session, where the pace matters and nobody has to rush.
Local instructor Bett Bollhoefer leads the class. She is certified in Radiant Body Yoga and brings in gentle movement, balance work, and meditation elements. The class is built for people who have trouble getting up and down from the floor, including folks dealing with arthritis, knee pain, back pain, or just a body that wants kinder options.
You will work on strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness while staying supported by a chair. That makes it a useful pick for beginners, older adults, or anyone easing back into movement.
The library is at 5366 College Ave, Oakland. If accessibility details matter for your visit, check the event page before you go.
