Adult Needlework Circle is a quiet little reason to spend Thursday afternoon in Rockridge with yarn, fabric, and good company.

It meets July 30, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Oakland Public Library: Rockridge Branch, right on College Ave. The branch has that easy library feel: calm tables, neighborhood chatter, and enough room to settle in without making a big production of it.

The performers here are the makers around the table. Knitters, crocheters, sewers, quilters, and anyone working with thread or fiber bring the rhythm. You can bring a project that is already in progress, start something simple, or just sit near people who understand why a small knot can ruin your whole afternoon.

This group has been meeting for nearly two years, so there is a nice built in comfort to it. Beginners are welcome, and experienced hands will have plenty of company. Hot tea is provided, which feels right for a slow afternoon of stitching and talking.

If you want a low pressure local hangout with a creative bend, this is a good one to check out. Details are on the event page, including accessibility information.

Join us every Thursday afternoon for creativity and conversation in a warm and inviting space.
You are invited to bring your own projects (knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting and more!) and enjoy the good company of other fiber art creatives. This group has been meeting now for nearly two years and whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, everyone is welcome! Hot tea is provided.
