If your rent situation has been sitting in the back of your mind, this Sunday afternoon clinic at Oakland Public Library is worth putting on the calendar.

On September 6, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm, Oakland Tenants Union Community Counselors will be at the Main Library to answer questions from Oakland renters. The setting is simple and familiar: the downtown library at 125 14th Street, with its calm public space, steady foot traffic, and that practical Oakland feeling of people showing up to get things handled.

This is for people dealing with landlord problems, lease questions, notices, repairs, rent issues, or anything else that has become confusing or stressful. Bring your lease, letters, notices, emails, photos, or any paperwork that helps tell the story.

The clinic is free and open to Oakland tenants. Appointments are encouraged by emailing or calling (510) 704 5276. Walk ins are accepted if there is room.
