Teen gaming at Oakland Public Library
Saturday, Aug. 8, the Main TeenZone at Oakland Public Library is set up for an easy afternoon of tabletop and video games from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
The Main Library has that downtown Oakland mix of quiet corners, busy entrances, and people doing their own thing. The TeenZone gives teens a space that feels a little more relaxed than the rest of the building, with room to sit down, play a round, and talk between turns.
There are no bands or speakers booked for this one. The performers are the players at the table and on the controllers, with library staff nearby to keep the afternoon moving. Expect a mix of friendly competition, casual games, and snacks.
This is a good pick for teens who want something social without making a huge plan. Come with friends, or show up solo and meet people over a game. The library is at 125 14th St, close to downtown transit and other Saturday errands.
