On Saturday, July 25, the Main Library TeenZone turns into an easygoing game spot from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
Expect tabletop games, video games, snacks, and a room full of teens who are there to play, meet people, and get a little competitive. The main performers are the players themselves, with quick turns, big reactions, and plenty of “one more round” energy.
The TeenZone at Oakland Public Library has that classic downtown library feel, calm enough to settle in, but busy enough to feel social. It is a good fit for teens who want something to do on a Saturday that does not cost a lot or require a big plan.
If your teen likes games, or just needs a place to hang out with people their age, this is a solid afternoon pick near Lake Merritt and downtown Oakland.
