Saturday games at Oakland Main Library
Next Saturday, July 18, the Main TeenZone at Oakland Public Library is setting aside the afternoon for teen gaming from 12 pm to 4 pm.
This is a simple, easygoing library hangout with tabletop games, video games, snacks, and a room full of other teens ready to play. The players are the main act here, whether they are talking strategy over a board game or trying to win a match on screen.
The Main Library has that downtown Oakland feel: busy outside, calmer once you are in the building. The TeenZone gives the afternoon a more social feel than a quiet study corner, but it still has the relaxed pace of a library space.
It is a good pick for teens who want something to do on a Saturday without spending money or making a big plan. Come with friends, meet a few new people, or just show up and join a game.
