Needlework Circle

Needlework Circle at Oakland Public Library
Wednesday evening at the Main Library is a good time to bring out the yarn bag, embroidery hoop, or that crochet project that has been sitting half finished for a while.
This circle runs from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Oakland Public Library, 125 14th St in downtown Oakland. The setting is easygoing and familiar, with that steady library calm around you and a room full of people making things by hand.
The performers here are the stitchers. Knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, and curious first timers all share the space. Some folks will be deep in a pattern. Others may be learning how to hold a hook for the first time. Materials will be available if you show up empty handed and want to try a first stitch.
Go if you want a quiet social evening that still feels active. Go if you need help with a project. Go if you like the soft chatter of people working on small, patient things together.
All skill levels are welcome. The circle meets on the second Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
