Open First Friday: Big, Small, and Everything In Between
October 2, 2026 5:00 pm
Friday evening at Manna Gallery, Oakland Art Murmur brings a good reason to wander over to 25th Street.
Big, Small, and Everything In Between features Bay Area muralists Julie Engelmann, Amos Goldbaum, Liv Losee Unger, Fernanda Martínez, and Deirdre Weinberg. These are artists whose work often lives out in the open, on walls and in public view, so seeing their pieces inside a gallery gives the show a different kind of closeness.
Manna Gallery has that approachable Oakland arts feel. It is small enough to take your time, talk with people, and actually look at the work without feeling rushed. On First Friday, the neighborhood has its usual mix of art walkers, locals, and curious passersby, which makes this a nice stop before dinner or while roaming the Art Murmur circuit.
The opening runs Friday, October 2, from 5 to 8 pm at 473 25th St in Oakland. Entrance is free. There is also an artist reception on Saturday, October 3, from 2 to 4 pm, plus an Oakland Style Week art tour on Saturday, October 10, from 11 am to 2 pm.
More details are listed on the event page.
