SANCTUARY
October 2, 2026 8:00 pm
SANCTUARY opens Friday, October 2 at the Frank Bette Center For the Arts in Alameda.
Frank Bette is one of those neighborhood art spaces that feels easy to settle into. It is in a quiet stretch of Alameda at 1601 Paru St, with a warm, lived in gallery feel and plenty of room to slow down with the work.
The show runs through November 28, with artists filling the center with pieces built around refuge, reflection, and the idea of a safe place. That theme should land well in this small gallery setting, where the art is close enough to spend time with and the crowd is usually a mix of Alameda regulars, East Bay art folks, and curious neighbors.
If you like seeing a show when people are actually around to talk about it, put the opening reception on your calendar for Saturday, October 10 from 3 to 5 pm. There is also a mid show reception on Saturday, November 14 from 3 to 5 pm.
Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm. It is a good low key Alameda stop before dinner, after the farmers market, or as a simple weekend art break.
