Shpongle – 10/31
October 31, 2026 8:00 pm
Halloween night at the Fox Theater with Shpongle
Oakland gets a proper strange one on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, when Shpongle takes over the Fox Theater on Telegraph. Doors and details aside, the listed start time is 8:00 pm, which feels right for a Halloween night downtown.
The Fox is one of those rooms that already feels a little unreal before the music starts. The glowing marquee, the tall ceilings, the old theater detail, and that big room energy all fit this kind of show well.
Shpongle has long been tied to psychedelic electronic music, with sounds that pull from trance, ambient, dub, and global percussion. It is music built for people who like their dance floor a little odd, a little colorful, and very late night in spirit.
And yes, Halloween makes sense here. Costumes will probably feel normal. The crowd should be part of the scene, not just watching it.
If you want something different from the usual bar crawl, this is a strong Oakland pick. Grab food nearby, walk over to 1807 Telegraph Ave, and let the Fox do what it does best.
