Static Age lands at The Fireside Lounge in Alameda on Sunday, September 13, with DJ Scott Toxin behind the decks from 2 pm to 4 pm.
This is an afternoon set built around 80s and 90s alternative sounds, with punk, post punk, new wave, synth, goth, brit, grunge, indie, and related corners of the record shelf all in the mix.
The Fireside Lounge on Webster Street has that easy Alameda feel. It is the kind of bar where you can meet friends, grab a drink, and stay awhile without making a big plan out of it. An afternoon DJ set fits the room nicely, especially if you like your Sunday with a little black eyeliner, guitar fuzz, and moody synths.
DJ Scott Toxin should have plenty to work with here, from dance floor staples to deeper cuts for people who still keep old band shirts in regular rotation. There is no cover, and the event is 21 and over.
