Crate digging in Alameda at Faction Brewing

Sunday, September 20, Faction Brewing turns into a record hunter hangout from 11 am to 5 pm. The setup is simple and very Alameda. Big brewery space, bay air, skyline views, food trucks nearby, and rows of crates waiting for patient hands.

Expect about 50 vendors bringing a huge mix of LPs, CDs, cassettes, and music memorabilia. The count being tossed around is 40,000 records, which means you can show up with one thing in mind and still leave with something you did not expect.

There is no stage lineup listed for this one. The main players are the sellers, collectors, and music heads behind the tables. That is part of the charm. You get quick stories, honest recommendations, and maybe a little friendly debate over pressings, genres, and what belongs in the bargain bin.

Faction Brewing is a good fit for this kind of afternoon. It has that open, relaxed warehouse feel, with plenty of room to wander and take breaks between crate runs. Grab a beer if that is your thing, get food from the trucks, and make a slow loop through the vendors.
