A spooky season talk with a pint in hand at Faction Brewing
Wednesday, October 21, Profs & Pints lands at Faction Brewing in Alameda for an evening called Faith and Frights, featuring Rev. Dennis Recio.
Faction is a good fit for this kind of thing. The taproom has that open Alameda waterfront feel, with big views, a relaxed crowd, and plenty of room to settle in without making the night feel stiff. It is the kind of place where a talk can feel casual, especially when there is a beer on the table and the Bay is right outside.
Rev. Dennis Recio will lead the evening, which runs from 6 to 8:30 pm. The topic sounds right for late October: faith, fear, and the strange stuff people carry into spooky season. If you like your Halloween month with a little thought behind it, this is an easy midweek plan.
Go for the conversation. Go for the setting. Go because listening to a smart speaker in a brewery is a nice break from another night on the couch.
When: Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 6 to 8:30 pm
