Beer history gets the taproom treatment in Alameda
On Wednesday, July 29, Faction Brewing is hosting Profs & Pints, a laid back evening about how beer helped shape civilization.
The talk runs from 6 to 8:30 pm, with Prof. Jonathan Hughes leading the conversation. Expect a mix of history, culture, and the kind of odd facts that make you look at your glass a little differently.
Faction is a good fit for this one. The Alameda brewery has that open, easygoing hangar feel, with big Bay views, plenty of room to settle in, and beer that does not need much explaining. It is a casual spot, so you can show up after work, grab a pint, and actually listen without feeling like you are sitting in a lecture hall.
This is a nice pick if you like history, beer, or smart talks that still feel social. Bring a friend who always reads the museum plaques. Or bring the one who just wants a good pint and let the professor handle the rest.
