Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6 to 10 pm, the @grooveisinthestart crew is bringing an early 80s dance night to Faction Brewing in Alameda.

This one has a nice East Bay rhythm to it. Start early, dance for a few hours, and still make it home at a decent time. The music leans into that start of the 80s feel, with DJs setting up a warm, easy dance floor for people who want to move without making a whole late night out of it.

Faction is a good place for this kind of thing. The brewery has that open Alameda hangar feel, with plenty of room, casual tables, and the Bay close by. Grab a beer, catch the sunset if the timing is right, then head inside or around the crowd when the music picks up.

There is also a local giveback baked in, with 10 percent of proceeds going to Girls Inc. of the Island City. That makes it a solid choice if you want a Friday night that feels fun, simple, and connected to Alameda.
