Pride in the Park

Alameda Pride brings a full Saturday to Chochenyo Park on October 10.
From noon to 6 p.m., the park at 2430 Encinal Ave will be the spot for a free Pride gathering with music, neighbors, families, and plenty of room to hang out. Chochenyo Park has an easy Alameda feel, open enough for a casual afternoon but still close to the heart of town.
DJ Dave Stebbins is on the bill, bringing the soundtrack for the day. Expect a friendly crowd, kids running around, dogs on leashes, and people catching up on blankets or near the action.
After the park wraps, the celebration continues with a block party from 6 to 9 p.m. on Alameda Avenue between Park and Oak. That makes it easy to make a whole day of it without overthinking the plan.
Go for the music, the community, and the simple joy of being outside with people who care about making Alameda feel welcoming.
