Stand Up Comedy Classes @ Alameda Brewing — Alameda Brewing

Try stand up in Alameda, one Thursday at a time
Alameda Brewing is a good place to test a joke. The room has that Park Street mix of casual chatter, cold beer, and people who are already in the mood to hang out for a while.
On Thursday, October 22, this class kicks off at 7 pm and runs until 9 pm. A working stand up comedian will guide a small group through the basics of building a short set, from finding the funny part of a story to getting comfortable saying it out loud.
The performers here are the people in the room. Some may have a notebook full of ideas. Some may only have one weird family story they keep telling at parties. That is enough to start.
If you have ever wondered what it feels like to hold a mic, this is a low pressure way to try it. You get coaching, feedback, and a reason to shape those half formed jokes into five minutes that sound like you.
