Modern Calligraphy for Beginners – Sip & Script — Alameda Brewing

If your handwriting has been living in quick notes and grocery lists, this class at Alameda Brewing is a nice way to give your hand something prettier to do.

On Sunday, August 9, the Sip & Script crew will be at the brewery from 3:30 to 6:00 pm, walking guests through the basics of modern calligraphy. No experience is needed. You can show up as someone who has never used a nib before and still leave with a feel for the tools, the ink, and the rhythm of the letters.

Alameda Brewing has that easy Park Street feel, casual tables, good beer close by, and enough room to settle in without feeling stiff. It works well for a class like this because you can learn something new while still having a relaxed afternoon out.

The Sip & Script team brings the supplies and keeps the pace friendly. If you have tried calligraphy before, this can work as a refresher too, especially with the beginner kit included in the class.
